Way back in October of 2003 (wow, before I even started keeping this blog!), I was delighted to join the ranks of Heartless Bitches International. I even have a t-shirt!

That website is a font of phenomenal information. I highly recommend every essay & article in the section of the site that they call “The Manipulator Files.” These articles (mostly regarding relationships, including a terrific one on polyamory) are excellent.

I haven’t read all the editorials (it’s nice to have goodies to look forward to!), but the most recent one regards a subject about which I’ve been known to have the occasional rant: entitlement. I don’t even want to get started on the subject… let’s just say that I agree entirely with a nifty quote by Mark Twain: “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.”

But do read that editorial when you get the chance!
