No news is… yadda yadda
I avoid news exposure, for a variety of reasons.
The global news seems to be chock-full of people pissed off at my country. Especially for no other reason than the US has more money and freedom than their country.
The national news seems to be chock-full of people mucking about in politics (one of the most tedious subjects of all time). Especially those asshats who believe that the customs of their tribe or ideology should be the law of the land.
The local news seems to be chock-full of people who’ve become patients in the hospital that I work for. (Let me tell you how much I love hearing a caller say, “I know he’s there, they said so on the news.” Especially after that particular person has been deemed a “non-disclosure patient” so we are not allowed to admit to their existence!)
It’s all just too depressing to bother with.

Too true. Though, I feel compelled to point out that there is at least one notable and valid reason the world is generally pissed off at our country. Le sigh.

I just get annoyed with those people… As if somehow, they’re going to get a magic “in” if they say that… Most of the callers, I’ve found from listening in to the calls, aren’t even relatives or really close friends. Gah!

Not to pick fights, but which “notable and valid reason” would that be? (Oh, and one other thing, if I may… “the world” does NOT equal “Europe”.)
